Laura Bispuri

Laura Bispuri, after a degree in Cinema at « La Sapienza » University of Rome, was selected by producer Domenico Procacci to attend for two years the direction and production school « Fandango Lab workshop ». With her short film “Passing Time” she won the David Donatello Award for best short film in 2010. “Passing Time” was also selected as one of the eight best short films in the word at the « Short Film Golden Night », organized by Académie des César in Paris. Her last short film Biondina was produced by the top Italian banking group « Banca Intesa » and realized under the supervision of Academy Award-winner Gabriele Salvatores. He declared to the press that « Laura Bispuri’s style can be compared to the one of the Dardenne brothers but she has an even better use of photography ». Laura was awarded in 2011 with Nastro d’Argento (Top Italian Film Critic Award) as « nascent talent of the year ».
