When I made "The Owner", I wanted to examine how violence can erupt from ordinary circumstances. The story begins with a minor incident on the road, but quickly exposes deeper tensions—pride, humiliation, and the fragile balance of power between strangers. I was interested in how easily civility collapses when ego is threatened. The confined setting intensifies the moral confrontation, forcing characters to reveal who they truly are. The film ultimately suggests that beneath everyday normality lies a volatile mix of fear and aggression, and that a single moment can strip away the illusion of control.
